The Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing's Zeta Lambda Chapter's 7th Annual Research Education Day was held on Wednesday, November 8th. on IUP campus. Our guest speaker was Dr. Elaine Little who shared her research entitled: 'An Investigation of the Most Influential Factors Predicting Nursing Students' Knowledge and Attitude Toward Older Persons.' Continuing Education Credits were awarded via AACN for our nurse attendees. In conjunction with this program, select poster presentations using qualitative, quantitative, evidenced based practice or concept analysis was displayed by students and faculty on the following theme: "Innovation in Practice & Education Environments." Over 180 students attended/presented and a good time was had by all!
SAVE THE DATE! Zeta Lambda Chapter will be hosting Spring Induction on Saturday, April 14th. at the Rustic Lodge in Indiana. There will be a social at 11am, guest speaker (TBA) at 11:30am, lunch at 12N and Induction Ceremony at 1pm. Look for more information and registration/menu options in January 2018. Zeta Lambda Chapter's 2017 Spring Induction Ceremony was on Saturday, April 15th at the Rustic Lodge in Indiana, PA. Twenty-nine new members were inducted into Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing and our featured speaker was this years 'Nursing Excellence' Award winner, Dr. Susan Poorman. Dr. Poorman spoke on the importance of tests. It was a great way to spend part of the Easter weekend and a good time was had by all.
